Tech giant, Google, is developing Google Hire, this will be a job site which could let prospective employers to view your entire internet search history.

Job interviews are about to get a little more awkward!!

Googling potential employees is pretty common practise these days, prior to inviting candidates to come in for an interview.  But now Google is working on a new job site project, Google Hire which will reveal perhaps a little too much about their new recruits.

Early reports have suggested it will be available through your Google account and act as a recruitment tool which will be similar to LinkedIn. If this is the case it will link things like your YouTube account and search history with any job applications, enabling employers to have a pretty clear view of what you’ve been up to online.

Technology website Axios reports that the tool is currently being tested, and that it will let employers post job listings, and accept and manage applications.

The job site was apparently developed by Google’s enterprise and cloud division, headed up by Diane Greene, whose start-up was acquired by Google in 2015.

The login page is now live, however as the platform hasn’t officially been announced it’s not yet possible to actually view the website.
